William J. Kane, Sr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

William J. Kane Sr., age 64 of Westville Grove, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at his home in Millville, surrounded by his loving family. He had been in declining health since last November. Born in Woodbury to the late John "Jack" and Barbara (Riley) Kane, Bill was raised in West Deptford Township, Gloucester County and graduated from Gloucester City Adult High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as an Electrical Repairman during the last part of the Vietnam War. Bill worked in Maintenance Repair and Delivery for the Seven-Up Bottling Company in Gloucester and Bridgeton for many years. Bill loved music, the outdoors, hunting, gardening, collecting "his treasures", and his country. He was also a member of the Parish of All Saints Catholic Church in Millville. Most of all, he enjoyed being around his family and cherished the time that he was able to share with them, especially with his granddaughters. Bill is survived by his wife and best friend Barbara Harper, whom he met in 1974; his son William Jr. (Adrienne) of Westville Grove; his daughter Kimberly (Brandon) and granddaughters, Madison and Morgan Monroe of Logan Township; two sisters, Tina Roccograndi (Vince) of Cherry Hill and Sharon Kane of Rio Grande; three nieces; and two nephews. Funeral Services for Bill will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Christy Funeral Home, Millville.
