Vance "Sonny" Harris Beebe Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Vance Harris "Sonny" Beebe, Sr., age 82 of Cedarville, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, Wednesday evening, August 3, 2016, after an extended illness. Born in Bridgeton to the late Merritt and Ruth (Sprinkle) Beebe, Vance was raised in Millville and graduated from Millville High School, Class of 1951. He worked at Buffalo's Market and Airwork Corp., and then served his country in the U.S. Army in 1958 during the Vietnam War era. After serving in the U.S. Army, Vance returned to Millville, where he once again worked at Airwork Corp. as an Electro-Plater for over 40 years, retiring in 1995. Vance loved playing his banjo, riding his Harley, and enjoyed many types of automobiles. He was also a big fan of Bluegrass and Country music. Woodworking was one of his favorite pastimes; he was always tinkering around with some kind of project. Vance will be sadly missed by his loving wife Shirley (Hayes) Beebe; his son Vance H. Beebe, Jr. and wife Peggy of Cedarville; sister Shirley Camp of Millville; grandson Vance H. Beebe III and wife Emily of Millville; granddaughter Carolann Beebe of Cedarville; four great-grandchildren, Pacey, Sadie, Gracie, and Gage; two nephews, Wayne and Brian; and his Niece, Debbie. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy Funeral Home, Millville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a cancer charity of ones choice.
