Theresa F. DeTetta

May 9, 1940 - September 14, 2014

Theresa "Tree" F. (Santacroce) DeTetta, 74 of Millville, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Cooper Hospital in Camden, from an extended illness. She was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, and graduated from St. Maria Goretti High School. She moved to Vineland when she married in 1961, before settling in Millville for the past 49 years. She worked briefly as a telephone operator before she started a family and became a homemaker. She was a wonderful mother of five children and grandmother to 15 grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing Bingo. She is survived by her loving husband Daniel DeTetta Jr. of 53 years; her son Louis DeTetta and wife Deb; daughter Loretta DeTetta; son Daniel DeTetta III and wife Megan; daughter Terri Whildin and husband Jim; and daughter Monica DeTetta; 13 grandchildren, Danielle, Brad, Matt, Mike, Nicholas, Zachary, Alexis, DJ, Devin, Jenna, Kamren, Damin, and Aubrey; two great grandchildren, Matthew and LeNae; her sister Assunta Nataloni and husband Robert; one aunt; and many cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Luigi and Mary (Palma) Santacroce; and her infant sister Assunta. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2014 in the Parish of All Saints, Buck and Depot Streets, Millville. Family and friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 12 to 12:45 p.m. in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville. Cemetery services will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Walnut Rd., Vineland immediately following the Mass.
