Stephen M. King
May 27, 1969 - July 25, 2021
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a dear brother, uncle and friend, Stephen M. King who was called home on July 25, 2021 ending a long battle with multiple health conditions. Those of us that knew him best will tell you that he was crazy, funny, loyal, giving and maybe a “little bossy.” He valued his friends and family, he loved a few. Stephen’s favorite time was anytime he was the center of attention, which was often. He greatly enjoyed cooking, ventriloquism, and anything fine or fancy. Stephen was born in Millville NJ, graduated Devon Preparatory School and later moved to Allentown PA. He resided in Wilmington DE at the time of his passing. Stephen was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine (King) Cheesman née Sposato; his grandparents Michael & Marie (Torelli) Sposato, his great-nephew Cade Miller and Vaughn (the love of his life). Keeping Stephen alive in memory & story are his sister: Tammy Petit, nephew: Kyle King (Jessica), nieces: Sherry Petit, Janelle Miller (Cody) & Jaclyn Pew (Steve), great nieces & nephews: Gianna, Shane, Emma, Enzo & Logan and, of course, his Delaware “family”: Wallace E. Archy, Billy O’Neal, Darius Dyton & Charles Lloyd. Missing him terribly is his favorite Kitty, “Miss Cuddles.” Services and a Memorial gathering will be announced at a later date as the family navigates lingering restrictions resulting from a multi-state gathering. Memories and expressions of sympathy for Stephen M. King can be shared on the Obituary Tribute Wall at www.christyfuneralservice.com.
