    Patricia A. Beebe

    March 23, 1938 - December 5, 2021

Patricia A. "Aunt Pat" Beebe, age 83 of Ocean City passed away Sunday morning, December 5, 2021 at Shore Medical Center in Somers Point. Born in Millville to the late John E. and Anna M. (Duffy) Beebe, she graduated from Millville High School in 1956. In 1966, Pat graduated with a BA degree, and in 1972 she received her MA degree, both from Glassboro State College. For 43 years Pat was an educator, beginning her Special Ed teaching career at Mt. Pleasant School, Millville in 1963, and continuing at Betty Bacharach, Winchell and ACSSSD in 1966. In 2006 she retired from Atlantic County Special Services School District as CST Chair and LDTC. Pat was active with many charitable organizations, focusing on the disabled which included Special Olympics, Council for Exceptional Children, ARC of Atlantic County, Soroptomist of AC, and Boardwalk Regents. She was also active with Phi Delta Kappa Organization, and the NJEA Retirees. Over the years, Pat received many awards, including the Educator of the Year, and the Women's Hall of Fame of Atlantic County. During her retirement, Pat enjoyed traveling to Florida, spending time with family, and greeting and eating daily with her extended, adopted family at Arlenes on Asbury where she was affectionately known by all as "Aunt Pat." She even had a special table at the restaurant reserved just for her. Pat was a giving and supportive person, always positive and loved by all. Pat will be sadly missed by her sister Judy Kessler; her nephew Jason Kessler and his wife Lauren; her great nephew Gary; and special friends, Tom, Arlene, Heather, Jane, The Obergs and the rest of the regulars at Arlenes. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 10, 2021 in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Millville. The family suggests donations in Aunt Pat's memory to be sent to Special Olympics, Area 8, PO Box 302, Cedarville, NJ 08311.
