Lucille (Hatcher) McGovern, age 80 of Cedarville, passed away unexpectedly Friday morning, December 8, 2017 at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland. Born in Millville to the late Leon Hatcher Sr. and Katherine (Haas), she was a life long resident. Lucille began working for the Millville Manufacturing Co., where she met her husband John McGovern. She then worked as a Secretary at the Millville Airport for the City of Millville for over 20 years and retired. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Nabb-Leslie Post No. 82 of Millville. Lucille was an avid Phillies fan. Shopping, reading, traveling, Facebook, playing poker and doing crossword puzzles were some of her favorite pastimes, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family and her dog Bosley. Lucille will be sadly missed by her daughter Patricia Coombs and husband Leslie Jr. of Cedarville, her son Joey Sainsot of Cedarville; two grandchildren, Reghan Coombs and Kara Beth McMahon; and several cousins. She was predeceased by her husband John in 2008; one daughter Sharon Sainsot; two brothers, Raymond Hatcher and Leon Hatcher Jr.; and one granddaughter Devon McMahon. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2017 in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville. Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Millville. The family requests memorial contributions to the Cumberland County SPCA, 1244 N. Delsea Dr., Vineland, NJ 08360 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
