Louise May Smith

Louise May (English) Smith, age 85 of Millville, died Wednesday morning, April 1, 2015 at the Eagleview Nursing Home in Pittsgrove, after an extended illness. Born in Elmira, NY, Mrs. Smith graduated from Charleston Junior High School in PA, and moved to Millville with her family. For a few years, she worked for Kerr Glass, and then married and raised her family. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker, and she attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Millville. She enjoyed needlework and cooking, and was an avid reader. She is survived by her children, Joseph Russell Curry of FL, Roseanna Curry of GA, and Brian Smith and wife Cynthia of Vineland; three brothers, Francis English of Wellsboro, PA, and Gordon and Laverne English, both of CA; two sisters, Beverly and Dorothy of Ohio; and many nieces, nephews and numerous cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Paul Smith in March 2005; her parents, Arthur and Doris (Knapp) English; and one sister Pricilla. A private memorial service and burial will be held in PA, at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy Funeral Home, Millville.
