Lorraine Mary Haines
April 29, 1933 - July 14, 2016
Lorraine Haines, age 83 of Millville, has left us to reunite with "the love of her life" and dance forever in the clouds. She passed away peacefully on the morning of July 14th, 2016, surrounded by her family who loved her unconditionally. Lorraine was the spark of the family. Anyone who knew her definitely knew she was a stick of dynamite in a five foot body. She was the one everybody went to for help and good advice. Born in Pomona, she graduated from Egg Harbor City High School in 1950. She moved to Millville and married the man of her dreams, Al Haines, where they raised their family. She worked for Santa's Best as a payroll manager for 33 years, retiring in 2007. No words could ever describe the dedication she had towards her family and friends. She was a loving and caring mom, mom-mom, grammy, cousin, and friend to all who crossed her path. Lorraine was predeceased by her husband Al Haines, mother Laura Guerrieri Barbetto and father George Sartorio. She is survived by her children Glenn (Renee) Haines of Vineland, Barbara (Jack) Evanchik, Albert (Madonna) Haines, Robert (Wendy) Haines, Kenneth Haines, all of Millville and Donald Haines of Ocala, Florida. She is also survived by her brothers George (Arlene) Sartorio of Millville, Wayne Sartorio of Washington Twp., and Richard Sartorio of Egg Harbor City; 17 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and her loving and caring cousin Linda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Parish of All Saints, 621 Dock Street, Millville on Friday, July 22nd, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., followed by her burial at Greenwood Memorial Park, Broad Street, Millville. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy Funeral Home, Millville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Redeemer Hospice, 160 East Ninth Avenue, Suite B, P.O. Box 250, Runnemede, NJ 08078. Memories and expressions of sympathy for Lorraine Haines may be shared on the Obituary Tribute Wall at www.christyfuneralservice.com.
