June Darlene (Reginak) Dupnock, age 83 of Millville, passed away unexpectedly at Inspira Medical Center on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, after a brief illness. June was born in Millville on June 14, 1937 to the late John and Mildred (Surran) Reginak and was a lifelong resident. In 1950, she graduated from St. Mary Magdalen School in Millville. She then went to Sacred Heart High School in Vineland and graduated with the class of 1954. She continued her education at Jefferson Medical Hospital, School of Nursing, and graduated with her RN in 1957. After graduation, June worked at Newcomb Hospital in Vineland as a Maternity Nurse from 1957-1960. June went back to school to complete her BA and CSN from Glassboro State College and graduated in 1968. June then started her career working as a School Nurse for the Millville Board of Education, where she earned her famous title as “June the School Nurse”. June loved her position and the ability to work with children from all over the school system including: Western, Wood, Bacon, Child Family Center and Mt. Pleasant School. After 32 years of service to the Millville Public School System, with honorable titles, June retired in 2000. June also thoroughly enjoyed her role as Secretary of JSD Refrigerated Service, Inc. for many years. June married the love of her life, John Dupnock on June 20th 1959, and they lived a beautiful life together until his passing in 2012. Together they loved traveling, polka dancing, pierogi making, parties, their friends, and especially their family. June was an active member in the St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church community. June was part of the Sisterhood of the Sacred Heart, St. Nick’s Ukrainian-American Club, Ukrainian National Home, and the choir. She was also a vital part of the annual pierogi sales. June wants to be remembered as a good Nurse, good wife, good mother, and good friend. June will be sadly missed by her three sons, John T. Dupnock and wife Joan of Berwyn, PA, Stephen Dupnock and wife Beth of Millville, and Paul Dupnock and wife Lynne of South Boston, MA; one sister Bette Rieck of Millville; two sisters in law, Justina "Sue" Payne and Mary Beck; four special grandchildren, Natalie Dupnock of Millville, Stephen Dupnock and wife Brittany of Millville, Maria Dupnock of Berwyn, PA, and Suzanne Dupnock of Berwyn, PA; one great granddaughter, Abigail Dupnock; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; her best friends, Stacy, Jean, and Tony; her family of friends from the community she loved; and her loving cats. She was predeceased by her husband John Dupnock; and one brother John David Reginak. A Funeral Liturgy for June will be conducted on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 11 a.m. in St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 801 Carmel Road, Millville. Family and friends will be received from 9:30 to 10:40 a.m. in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Please remember to practice social distancing while in the funeral home, church, and cemetery. Also, masks are required to be worn in the funeral home and church at all times.
