Joseph Henry O'Donnell

Joseph Henry O'Donnell, age 68 of Millville, NJ passed away Friday, February 11, 2022 at Bishop McCarthy Rehabilitation Center in Vineland. He was born April 11, 1953 in Millville, a son of the late Joseph F. O'Donnell and Laura (Steelman) Robinson. Joe grew up in Millville attending its public schools and graduating from Millville Senior High School in 1972. Since childhood, Joe had challenges and was one who marched to a different drummer. Proudly he never let those challenges limit him, and he went on to live a wonderful and independent life. His favorite thing to do was walk, and that he did. He could be seen carrying a backpack, walking at a brisk pace most anywhere in Millville. Joe loved to socialize with those he met along his path and would stop into local businesses along the way to say hello to patrons and owners. Joe moved to Provo, Utah in the eighties, where he lived for several years. There, he became a proud member of "Latter Day Saints." Later, he returned to Millville where he lived out the rest of his life. Our family is so thankful to those who showed Joe kindness through the years...He loved Millville and its people. Joe is survived by his sister Sandra O'Donnell Weikel (Bill); his brother Larry O'Donnell (Gaylene); and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville on Friday, February 18, 2022. Funeral services will be begin at 11 a.m. on Friday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Millville.
