John E. Coleman Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

John E. Coleman, age 83 of Millville, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland. He was born in Gibson County, Indiana to the late William and Geneva (Hougkins) Coleman, and he moved to Millville with his family as a teenager. John met his wife Mary while working at Jim's Lunch as a dishwasher. He then worked for the City of Millville in the Streets and Roads Department for 30 years and retired. John was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Millville. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, and was known as "Mr. Fix It." John will be sadly missed by his wife of 61 years, Mary (Pettit); three daughters, Judy Fisher, Mary Bates (Percy Bates), and Diane Coleman (Steve Marrero); his sister Rosaline Phillips; his grandchildren, John and Denise Costanzo, Judy and Tina Fisher, Deborah Horton, Misty Bates, Mike Bates, Rick Bates, Amanda Bates, Betty, George, and Cristal Skelly; and many great grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Donald Coleman; one sister AudieMay Moore; and one daughter Joyce Coleman. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 4, 2022 in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Millville.
