Jason Brett Derby Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jason Brett Derby, age 50 of Laurel Lake, Millville passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 27, 2022 from doing what he loved most...riding his motorcycle. Jason was born in Bridgeton to the late Lawrence Derby Sr. and Sandra Kay (Bassett). He grew up in Millville and was a lifelong resident. In 1994 he began working for Jersey Panel in Vineland as a welder, where he was still currently working before his untimely death. Jason loved riding his collection of Harley Davidsons with his friends. He was an avid Eagles fan, and he enjoyed hunting, but most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Jason will be sadly missed by his wife of 28 years, Dawn (Zeak); his children, Justina Moore, and David Wallace both of Millville; his siblings, James Pierce and Lawrence Derby Jr., both of FL, Lawrence Shawn Derby of NC, Charlotte Harvey of AZ, and Edward Pierce of FL; five grandchildren, Jayden, Krystiana, Ryleigh, Shane, and Jaxson; his Aunt Margaret, Uncle Pete, Uncle Winkle, Uncle Jr.; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and his two faithful dogs, Geronimo's Rifle and Billy Bonnie. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2022 in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville. Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Millville.
