Harriet R. Hogan

Harriet R. (Edwards) Hogan , 99, of Grafton, WV, and formerly of Millville, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2015 at Grafton City Hospital. She was born October 25, 1915, in Bridgeton, a daughter of the late Harry S. and Anna (Friant) Edwards. She is survived by one daughter, Linda Boling and husband Jerry of Grafton,WV, two sons; Merrill Hogan and wife Joann of Concrete, WA and Thurman Hogan of Penns Grove; seven grandchildren, Alicia Jones and husband Sam of Grafton, WV, Meredith Stach and husband Louie of Grafton, WV, Denise Hogan of Vineland, Wende Hogan of WA, Donna Botting and husband Brad of Arizona, Kelsey Hogan of NJ, and Marshall Hogan of NJ.; six great grandchildren, John Stach of Grafton, WV, Zack Jones of Grafton, WV, Gabrellia and Sage Cifaloglio of NJ and Brent and Lauren Botting of Arizona. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Merrill Hogan; sisters Virginia, Alice, Nancy and Winifred; and brothers, Harry Jr., Thurman and Frank. Harriet worked at the R.D. Wood School as a secretary until her retirement at age 72. She was a member of the Second United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling and going to the shore. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 22, 2015 in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Millville.
