Frederick William Klawitter, Jr., age 80 of Vineland, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday evening, January 15, 2021. He had been in declining health for quite some time. Born and raised in Millville to the late Frederick and Mae (Hickman) Klawitter, Fred attended Millville High School and then moved to Vineland in 1958. Fred met and married is loving wife, Diane, and together they shared over 61 years of marriage. Fred worked for many years as a truck driver for Pepsi Cola and retired. He then started his own extremely successful business, D and B Custom Rod Shop, which he operated from his home for over 40 years, and then retired again. Fred loved building rods and was a passionate fisherman, loving all types of saltwater fishing. He enjoyed photography and also loved watching his kids and grandchildren play baseball and softball. Fred was a frequent Facebook user, where he enjoyed a good spirited argument from time to time. Most of all, however, Fred treasured the time that he was able to share with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He also loved his sisters very much. Fred will be sadly missed by his loving wife Diane (Rafine) Klawitter of Vineland; his son Frederick W. Klawitter, III of Vineland; two daughters, Debra A. Miller and husband Rick of Millville and Lori L. Roller and husband Brian of Vineland; two brothers, Franklin Klawitter of Hopewell and Evans Klawitter and wife Rhonda of Millville; three sisters, Sharron MacAvoy of Millville, Mae Haas and husband Kevin of Millville, and Susan Honaker and husband Dave of Millville; seven grandchildren, Valerie Cross, Scott Klawitter, Gregory Klawitter, Brian Roller, Jr., Zachary Roller, Natalie Roller, and Nathan Roller; nine great grandchildren, AJ, Kimberly, Khloe, Dylan, Chasity, Miley, Aubrey, Ryan, and Colton; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and countless good friends and fishing buddies. He was predeceased by his daughter Terri Lynn Klawitter; four brothers, William, George, Laurence, and Richard Klawitter; and two grandchildren, Frederick J. Klawitter and Leah P. Roller.
