Edna B Mendolera

Edna B. (Hunter) Mendolera, age 92 of Pennsville, and formerly of Millville, passed away Thursday evening, September 10, 2015 at Carney's Point Care Center after a lengthy illness. Born in Georgetown, NJ, she grew up in Salem, and lived throughout the United States before settling in Millville. In 1998, she moved to Pennsville. Mrs. Mendolera was a homemaker and she attended the Catholic Church. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary William Whitaker Post No. 1952 of Pennsville. She was known for her great sense of humor and was quick-witted. She always enjoyed having a good time, and she was a big Phillies fan. Mrs. Mendolera is survived by two sisters, Mildred Lewis and Frieda Davenport, both of Pennsville; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Louis in 2010; her parents, Neil and Enid (Rutledge) Hunter; and her siblings, Herbert R. Hunter, Dorothy M. Burden, Helen Batson and Francis Hunter. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville. There will be a viewing on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Millville.
