June 26, 1934 - December 14, 2020
Cynthia Ann (Spencer) Davis, affectionately known as "Cyn", passed away peacefully on Monday, December 14, 2020 after a brief illness, at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland. Born and raised in Rumford, Maine to the late Ralph and Kathleen (Haines) Spencer, Cyn attended Stephens High School and then moved to Millville in 1968, where she was a longtime resident. Cyn had been trained to be a nurse's assistant, but actually went to work in Tuckahoe as a candle maker at Wheaton Candles for many years. She went on to work as a housekeeper for over ten years at the Windrift Hotel in Avalon. Cyn's primary job was proudly raising her six children. She treasured the time that she was able to share with her family and friends over the years. She lived for her children and Grandchildren and loved them all with a caring and beautiful touch. Cyn was an award winning artist, and loved painting with acrylic on canvas. She was well known for her beautiful paintings, primarily from memory of scenes that she had observed over the years. She loved to give her artwork to family, friends, and even acquaintances that she would simply meet in friendly passing. She was extremely detail oriented, a careful planner, and always enjoyed a perfectly kept and clean house. An avid cat lover, Cyn was also musically gifted and loved to play the piano, and took great pride in performing for family and friends over the years. Cyn loved the Lord and enjoyed attending the Leesburg United Methodist Church for many years. Cyn will be sadly missed by her six loving children, Robyn Auger of Cedarville, Kathi Lyon of Maryland, Larry Auger and wife Donna of Dorothy, Michael Langlois and wife Angel of Springfield, Missouri, Lance Langlois and wife Kelly of Bridgeton, and Brandi Davis of Vineland; one step-sister Heather Lindwall of Wyoming, half sister Mary Arnott of Maine; four grandchildren, Stephanie Auger and husband Cody, Austin Auger, Alex Auger, and Bryce Mosley; many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and her loving cat Brianna. She was predeceased by her sister Joyce Swan; one brother Raymond Spencer; her twin sister June Hargreaves; and sister Joann Spencer at age two. A Memorial Service for Cyn will be conducted on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville. Family and friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
