Cheryl Anne (Kryka) Testa, age 77 of Millville, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020 after a brief illness, at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland. She had fought a courageous and positive battle with cancer for several years. Born in Chester and raised in Ridley Park, PA to the late Michael Kryka and Anne (Chabanuk) Webb, Cheryl graduated from Notre Dame High School, Class of 1961. She first worked for seven years as a secretary at the Philadelphia Bulletin from 1961-67. She then worked in Vietnam from 1967-68 with the US State Department in the United States Agency for International Development. Cheryl was married and lived in Raritan, NJ where she worked for GAF North American Manufacturing. She then worked at the Franklin Mint in the Collectables Division for over 23 years. She finally moved to Millville and worked for several years as a courier for Capital Bank, and retired. Cheryl was a faithful member of the Parish of All Saints in Millville for many years. She was a passionate expert skier and skied all over the USA and Europe over the years. She also enjoyed many special trips with her cousin, Arlene, as they traveled the world together. For several years, she was a member of the Rolling Thunder NJ Chapter 4. She loved traveling to the NJ Shore, especially to Avalon and Stone Harbor. Cheryl was also a passionate birdwatcher and conservationist for whales. However, Cheryl's most cherished interest was helping the St. Mary Magdalen Food Bank in Millville, in which she was heavily involved with over the last eleven years. Cheryl was extremely active at Liberty Village, where she was instrumental in organizing the many ongoing activities. She was also a member of the Social Committee and spent several years publishing the newsletter as well. Cheryl cherished the time that she was able to share with her family and friends over the years, especially at countless monthly family dinners. Cheryl will be sadly missed by her sister Bonnie Iverson of Millville; one very special cousin Arlene Chabanuk of Boothwyn, PA; one nephew Gary Iverson (Tracy); one grand-nephew Michael Montgomery; two grand-nieces Kiley and Jessica Iverson; a large extended family; and many dear friends that she has made over the years. She was predeceased by her sister Evelyn D'Angelo in November 2019; and two nieces, Cheryl Iverson and Tammy Brooks. A Funeral Mass for Cheryl will be celebrated on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 11 a.m. in the Parish of All Saints, Buck and Depot Streets, Millville. Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Please remember to practice social distancing while in the funeral home and church. Also, masks are required to be worn in the funeral home and church at all times. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parish of All Saints for "Flowers for Mary" which will be used throughout the year as needed OR to the "St. Mary Magdalen Food Bank", (please designate either charity in the memo line) 621 Dock St., Millville, NJ 08332.
