Christy Funeral Home has commited to contribute to the national effort to construct a National World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C.

Matt H. Christy will assist the effort through the National Funeral Directors Association. (NFDA). The NFDA has committed to a $5million pledge for the memorial.

Matt had served in the US Army as first lieutenant, was a graduate of Valley Forge Military Academy, and was commissioned through the University of Pennsylvania R.O.T.C. Program.

Matt says “This is a long-overdue memorial and I am proud to be a part of our national effort to build it.”

The memorial will feature a “Registry of Rememberances” database that will include the names of any American, Veteran, or worker on the homefront.
